Positioned as it is just off Sauchiehall Street, just out of the City Centre, but not quite truly in the West End The Sisters might seem a little too off the beaten track to be worth making an effort to visit, but this idea would be a severe mistake. In fact its position makes it just ten minutes from either part of the city and it’s well worth making the trip. Its tiny size makes it cosy to say the least, but it’s such a classy affair that it really is perfect for an intimate catch up with friends or a romantic meal for two. The decor is clean and simple and the menu features classic gaelic dishes cooked so beautifully that they make you wonder if your fond memories of your granny’s cooking are not a little overly generous. Dishes to look out for are the field mushrooms topped with haggis (you’ll be tempted to try and recreate it at home, but it’ll never be the same), and the chicken with Stornoway black-pudding and apple. Sheer bliss.
